Are the Signature by Cybele perfumes unisex?
Signature by Cybele offers a range of perfumes to fit diverse tastes. What one person considers to be a masculine perfume, others may feel is unisex. Perfume is very subjective and ingredients are viewed differently by each person. Nowadays sweeter ingredients are often loved by many younger men, likewise spicy notes may be preferred by some ladies. We have some perfumes which contain more sweet and floral notes, while others are more aromatic and spicy. The wide range of fragrance directions gives the option to fit your mood. The decision whether it is masculine or feminine is really up to the final buyer.
How long do the perfumes last?
We design Signature by Cybele perfumes to last eight to twelve hours, depending on your skin type and the environmental conditions. If you ensure that you moisturise your skin well before applying the perfume, then it will perform better.
Where should I apply the perfume for best results?
Apply to pulse points, which is where the skin is thinnest. Application behind the ears, neck, inside the elbows and knee creases – experts consider all these areas to be the best place to apply a perfume.
Do your perfumes cause skin reactions?
Signature by Cybele perfumes are skin safe for the majority of people. However it is always advisable to do a patch test for any perfume if you have highly sensitive skin. Our perfume oils all come from Europe, they are made to follow the latest regulations for perfume safety. All of our perfumes also show any allergens contained on the external packaging in order that you can make an informed decision.
Do the perfumes change over time?
Yes, all the perfumes have a top, middle and base level. The top level usually consists of more fresh and volatile molecules such as citrus notes, middle notes are more stable like lavender and herbs, base notes are generally notes like oud, woody notes, musk or vanilla.
How to choose my Signature by Cybele fragrance ?
Look at the fragrance notes of the fragrance you are considering and compare them what your favourite scent contains. Apply the new scent on your skin, see how it performs with your skin chemistry and how long it lasts, how does it make you feel. Generally, it is a personal choice for the wearer to decide that a fragrance is suitable for day or night time etc. You should think about how powerful the fragrance is and how it makes you feel, what environment you will be in during the day. For example, some fragrances are very fresh and citrus, they make you feel fresh and invigorated. These work well for day time wear, but are also a good choice for night time when you may need a zing of freshness. Heavier fragrances with oud or smoky notes, in addition heavy gourmand fragrances can be difficult for others at work to tolerate. Your workmates may not tolerate spiced or leather perfumes so well. Keep these for evenings out if those around you have sensitive noses.
